How much is profit? I guess this also sheds some insight into how many karmas sold. Since most are around 100k, that would mean around 1,000 paid for
Over 1000 cars payed for in just few months is encouraging. Doubt any profit yet, but this is not to be expected untill they get into higher volumes.

Yeah, I meant profit per car. The volt was doing like 600/month for a while right? So not bad numbers.

I'd like to see the sales figures after they filled all the pre-orders from diehards like ourselves.
However still a very good piece of news. I think it took Tesla many years to reach those sales figures. Goooo Fisker!!!!!

I still think the best marketing for the car is when the car is actually on the road. That was certainly true in my case -- saw the car on the road Dec 27, placed the order Dec 30. Sounds like I'm part of that $100M.

Cars on the road with too many problems however could backfire, so continued focus on software is key...

I agree... does anyone know what the next software rev will be, or when it's coming? Since the release of 6.14.2, I've only heard speculation about a 6.15 version, but nothing tangible. For a while, Fisker was rapidly releasing revs every week or so, but now things are a bit quiet on that front.

I don't think they are going to book the revenue from your car's sale until they deliver the car and collect the full $100K. The deposit is actually booked as a liability since you can ask for it back at any time. Still, I am sure your order is much appreciated. :D

I wondered about this as I wrote. I noticed they had two word choices which I found interesting and made me wonder if they're taking advantage of being non-GAAP. First, they said Fisker instead of Fisker Automotive in that sentence and everywhere else is "Fisker Automotive." Second they said "generated" not "booked" or some such thing.

I'm probably over-analyzing the word choice, but on the other hand, I doubt they've fully booked revenue on roughly 1,000 cars in two and a half months especially if you take into account encumbrances.

Autoblog in a recent reports that Fisker spokesman Roger Ormisher noted that Fisker had delivered about 250 cars to date. At $100,000 that would imply that Fisker had booked revnue in the $25 million range and that the other $75 million most likely would be new orders taken but not delivered.

Only 250? I see VIN number counting (far) above #0600 on this forum wich are sold cars...
I also read somewhere that Valmet is now producing around #1800 by now (thread removed). Did they start counting at #0001 from the beginning or did the ship lost many Fis(h)kers at sea during transport(s) to Halifax by boat? Any finnish input?

The article where Ormisher said 250 was from February 7th, two weeks ago.

Fisker has 45 dealers in the U.S., plus Canada and a few European countries like the Netherlands where they have been certified and are selling cars. I verified that Fisker Silicon Valley has delivered more than 25 cars. Even if the average is only 15 cars per dealer, that would be 750 customer deliveries. And remember that the dealers are independent entities. They have to buy their demo cars and any cars they have in inventory, so that too is revenue to Fisker Automotive.

Remember that the VIN has nothing to do with how many cars have been built because they were all built out of order. Just the chassis were built and then stockpiled last fall when things were getting weird. My car is 500, but it was actually closer to #160 to get completed.
