Not a typo. I put down my $250 deposit using the new Fisker App and I hope to lease one early on in the process. I think the method of offering a flexible lease term with 30K miles a year is brilliant: it takes away a big chunk of risk to the consumer and allows more people to take the leap on a new car company.
I watched the livestream. Henrik's "entrance" was a bit hokey, and he's no Steve Jobs when it comes to product reveals, but the vehicle itself looked pretty interesting. Here's a recap:The unveil didn't look like it was ready for prime time. Anyone actually attend?
I watched the Ocean reveal and was not overly impressed to be frank. The Ocean seems like a small car; Henrik seemed much taller than the vehicle and when he sat in it, he was very low. This is not what most SUV owners are wanting. The design is nowhere as exciting as previous Fisker designs and I am skeptical about the appeal of vegan materials in the interior. Nonetheless, I have put my $250 down to get one in 2022 and hope that the production versions are more exciting than what we have seen so far (the 0-60 in 2.9 secs. in a sporty version of the Ocean sounds promising).
Links don't work...Here are some more shots of the interior, During the setup on Monday and Henrick on a panel discussing Electric Vehicles ..I spoke to production folks and they seem to fully appreciate what they need to do this time around - cross finger -- more details to come at the Geneva auto show ...
or just in case you want to fly, check this out
Nah, he and his team were pretty swamped during the setup. I did speak to two exec who are in charge of the production and they were pretty open with what they could share. The details are to come at the Geneva show. I went back on Wednesday to take some picture and talk to Henrick, but he was surrounded by media and onlookers. They had their own booth this year it created lots more traffic when he introduced the Emotion when he shared the booth with LIDR firm. He also had a nice location to show the Ocean. I did write on his sign on wall as fiskerbuzz wishing him luck ;-)Excellent photos - thank you for sharing. Did you get to spend time with Henrik?
That’s quite a bit preproduction interest. 11,000 reservations is a pretty big deal. Yes, the car will come to market and it will probably sell five times that in the first year. Just because people don’t put down a deposit does not mean they’re not interested. Move to the Fisker Como is Bill with less than 800 deposits, and they sold close to 3000 in the first year. And that was a car that cost $100,000I see the last post here was over a year ago! From what I can find only around 11,000 reservations have been placed thus far (including mine). Is the Ocean SUV actually going to come to market?! And why isn't there more buzz about this car?! I love it!! Anyone still out there???
