While searching Twitter for Fisker-related tweets, I found this video. The rapper drives a Karma for part of the video. Certainly not my taste in music...

Not the first appearance by Karma in a music video, see this post for another example. But this is spectacularly bad. "I am wearing a condo on my wrist; I am wearing a condo around my neck?" Wow!

@WOJO: Corporate logos are usually blacked out/blurred/obscured in music videos. It must be a legal/licensing issue preventing anyone from using the logo without compensating or getting permission from the owner of the copyright. I would imagine that whenever logos are visible it is because the company is being paid for the use of the logo.

Except that in the case of the Karma, the car is far more recognizable than the logo so they should have blurred the car and left the logo. :dodgy:

I would think Fisker would have been grateful for any publicity/visibility. Then again, maybe they heard the song first and said "No way!". ;-)

Weird. SLC is not exactly a hotbed of rap entertainment (as far as I know, I don't actually go to such things...). But that does look like the dealership down in American Fork. Didn't see my Fisker sales guy (Rob Taylor) though.
