Coda Holdings, developer of lithium-ion battery systems and the oft-delayed electric Coda Sedan, announced that Thomas Fritz has joined the company as its senior vice president of engineering.
If the name Thomas Fritz sounds familiar, that's because Fritz's extensive experience in automotive engineering includes a three-plus year stint as head of Fisker Automotive's engineering department. In fact, Fritz's 23-year automotive career includes stops at Ford, BMW Rolls-Royce, Magna Steyr and Lincoln, just to name a few. Perhaps Fritz's crowning achievement is his involvement with the BMW Z8 – an iconic roadster that Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson once described as a vehicle that didn't know whether it was a supercar or a roadster.
