I expect the technology is going to advance a LOT in the next 4 years so I don't plan to keep my Karma past its warranty timeframe.

Agreed. Most likely the Nina power system (BMW Engine + 2-Speed Transmission) would probably surpass the Karma power train at that point and would be the standard for both cars.

I'm curious what you all plan to do with the Karma, as I've always intended to keep it for life (assuming it continues to function) - this is one of those 'instant classics' ... what do you all plan to do? Trade up in 2017 when the all new Karma comes out?

I've always kept my cars as long as possible. I intend to do the same with the Karma. But that's just a general philosophy, not a specific plan.

I plan on keeping mine indefinitely as a collector's item once it no longer functions as my daily driver.

You could even put it in the garden as a piece of art. I will hold on to mine for a long time!

I plan on keeping it for a long time, hence the purchase of a Signature Edition. I might make certain upgrades as time progresses, i.e. when the battery dies, replacing it probably will have no option other than to get a better one.
