Entertainment System Problems

The entertainment system seems to have weird quirks all the time. The other day when receiving a call the sound went out after I hung up and never came back. Yesterday, the system kept saying "Connecting to Audio Source..." forever.

The only thing that seems to clear it is letting the system completely shutdown. Does anyone know how to do this? How do you shutoff the entire system? If you lock the doors and walk away it stays on in some sort of sleep mode. It seems only that you must be away from the car for some period of time.

After you turn off the car, wait about 2 minutes until the PRND lights turn off-- then the car is "shut down". If that doesn't clear the issue, you could try a hard reset (search the forum) or, probably wiser, talk to your dealer.
Had that problem with 6.15 (or 6.12, can't remember now) but haven't had it since. I'm on 6.28
My experience matches SoCalGuy's.
Experienced similar glitcheswith 6.15 and 6.20 but not since 6.28
I have 6.28. Just confirmed with the dealer. :/ We'll I'm too lazy to go to the dealer for this one and it's not reproducible...yet. :) I like the idea of just waiting two minutes. The blood of being bleeding edge.
If you really want to mess with the car establish a phone call through the Bluetooth and then plug the iPhone into the USB port to charge.. You will now hear music while talking.. Haha..
Connecting to Audio Source Error

I received this exact error tonight after re-starting the car from a brief stop (10 minutes). I will check to see if the error resolves tomorrow morning. I took a picture of the error message in case anyone is curious what the screen looks like.

I have seen this too, not sure if it has occurred since the 510 update, but when it does occur, it goes away with a soft reboot (shut off car, wait 2 minutes, reboot).

I forget if I mentioned that the climate control system went bonkers on my last drive to California. I was in traffic heading west from Sacramento with 80+ degree temperatures outside and nothing but heat coming out. This, too, resolved itself with a soft reboot.

In general, if the car starts acting up: "have you tried rebooting it?" :dodgy:
Thanks ct-fiskerbuzz.

You are correct that it resolved this morning after the soft boot. My car is running 510 by the way. Also, I was using Bluetooth streaming last night when I shut off the car before restarting.

Definitely looking forward to the next rev of the software.
