The older pre-production cars used to say "Plug-in Hybrid" on the sides... ... they should have just replaced that with "ELECTRIC VEHICLE" for now, rather than starting this "EVer" concept... for all the reasons people have said.
I haven't experienced that so maybe it is just a stone or rock that's caught in there. If the dealer isn't too far away, you should have them check it out to be safe!
