Like most people on this forum I'm a supporter of Fisker as a company, and I applaud what they've been able to acheive. While the company and their products aren't perfect, they have built a real car and a pretty remarkable company in a short amount of time.

Of course, "Haters gonna hate" and there are people who are happy to distort, distract and disparage Fisker at every turn. A lot of this has to do with the DoE loan and election year politics. A lot also demonstrates a willful ignorance of how innovation and the global economy works. It's long since gotten to the point where I can't read the public comments on most online stories, and Twitter is a minefield of unsourced claims, opinions masquerading as fact, and general drivel.

I came across an article today from a media watchdog group that did a pretty good job calling out some of the inaccuracies and biased reporting around Fisker and the DoE loan. The sad truth is that this article will only get a fraction of the readers that the sensational stories do, and the people who's minds are already made up won't bother to read it, but I thought I'd share it here. It might make a good bookmark you can refer someone to who insists on believing the anti-Fisker hype:

Here's a much more thorough repudiation of the same ridiculous claims:
