DHarris, does the display no longer change from white to black?

Roadshow cars had white background display during the day and then switched to black background at night - dealer demo I drive didn't gave that any more. Has that feature been removed? If so, why???

It's available for $75. Floor mats $195. JUST KIDDING! At least it seemed funny to me after this wonderful bottle of wine.

Hah. You know, it wouldn't be surprising to me if in the next software upgrade, Fisker replaces the Tron sound with audio commercials or displays ads on the speedo and Command Center.
Classic!

We are aware of it, however I will get more specific about the displays information next week.

Is it just me or do I see a paradigm shift from Fisker? Mr. Harris is doing a wonderful job on Fisker's behalf to answer our questions and concerns in a very professional manner. I appreciate this, and I must say I also admire any person on this forum that invested hard earned money on this wonderful dream of a car. I want it to become a reality for all of us soon, just like it has become for me. Personally, I believe that the more Fisker gets involved with us, the more goodwill they will reap. This car is a dream to own (sorry Brian). I loved every minute the whole family enjoyed the Karma today. BTW Brian, how much is an Aston Martin mug? Or an Aston Martin pen? How about a Dallas visit? PM me and we'll have fun up here. Bring your Aston!

I noticed it too. Might be the first visible impact of last month's management changes.

You know, I really should clarify that I do like my Karma despite the multitude of malfunctions. I mean I expected a certain degree of problems with it, but not anywhere near what I ended up with. That being said, the majority of issues were with the software which I'm confident will eventually get fixed (v7.0?). The problems with the build quality are another thing, but whatever. From 10' away you can't see the crappy clearcoat or assembly job unless you point it out to someone.

But it's funny you mention the AM mug or pen... the answer is *they're FREE*. That's one big difference between Aston and Fisker is that Aston has absolutely top-notch outstanding customer service. A while back I added up all of the free stuff and swag that I've received from Aston Martin and my dealer over the last 2 1/2 years since I bought my $150k Vantage, and it comes out to around $3,000!!! Wow! That's swag combined with various track and driving events, dinners, etc. All stuff Aston continuously throws at me just to remind me how much they love me :)

Send some of that love this way. My friend had a Vanquish S and I went to AM to buy him a birthday gift. But, the $300 wallet gave me sticker shock. $60+ for a pen.

Nope, didn't switch. The Aston is still in the garage. Been driving it while the Karma has been away.

I bought a new Aston V8 Vantage a few years ago (coupe) and I've never received ANYTHING free from Aston Martin except for an occasional sales magazine. It's a nice thick magazine, but it's no mug or pen. I still have my Vantage, is there an Aston forum where I can complain about this?? Come to think of it, I haven't received a sales magazine in quite a few months either.......

.......Feeling unloved by Aston Martin. :sleepy:
Are you in the AMOC? I think being an AMOC member gets you a little extra love. I got to attend a dinner with Ultich Bez in 2010, and even the local dealer give discounts to AMOC members.

No, and I had to buy my AM out-of-state because I don't have a local dealer. I love the car...... if I could just get the brakes to stop squealing! I've tried hard braking to remove glazing... but that hasn't worked.
Funny you mention the AM's squealing brakes. I was having that same problem all last year, and the dealer deglazed them twice to no effect. But then in October I decided to try just spraying the hell out of the brake calipers with my hose nozzle when washing the car. Much to my surprise that reduce the squealing significantly. The next time I washed it I did it again, and immediately drove the car around the block with wet calipers and discs, and I rode the brake most of the way. That pretty much fixed it. Every once in a while I hear a slight squeal, but it's essentially fixed now.

WD-40 will fix brake squeaks every time. :-D

Seriously, if it were me, I would try a different type of brake pad.
