Contemplating Purchase - What to Look for/Expect

I have always loved the look of the Karma and am cautiously contemplating buying one as a second car. I have never even seen one in person or sat in one :s but the deals are almost too good to pass up for a car I really liked new.

I hope to learn what to look for in a good one, i.e. what service/campaigns have been done, software versions, what to make sure works, Must have options, etc.

Also, what should I expect for reliability, parts access, repair costs, etc. I am seeing both ends of the happy/frustrated scale. On the occasions I would drive it to work, I drive 80-90 miles round trip.

I am in Maryland outside of DC so I'm not sure what the service availability looks like. Maybe Philly is the closest physical location and I see there are great resources available her for minor things.

Any guidance and tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Good luck with your search! I've been driving my Karma for a little over three years now and I still smile every time I see it.

There's a lot to learn, but here's a great place to start:

depend on what updated parts the car have, common problems battery HV RDM
high or low vin 90% of the cars rdm will fail at one point this could cost 5-14k, battery each module cost 5k depend how many bad..
( some module cant be replaced need new battery)

i would highly recommend to ask one of of the techs close to you
phiskerphlly of h guy to do pre sale inspection..
