Charging station cord length

I made some inquires yesterday about the length of the Fisker/Lear charging station because my Googling showed that almost every other charger has an 18ft. cord. Since the Karma is 16.5ft. long, that's not a lot of margin if the charger has to be mounted on the garage wall in front of the car.

It ends up Fisker was smart about this, and their cord is 20ft. long. Still cutting it a bit close, but should be fine for most people's garages.

I was considering buying a different charging station that had more features/options, but I can't find one with a long enough cord, so I guess I'll be getting the Fisker/Lear unit just based on that one thing.

I suppose you could back it in.
Hah! That's what the lady at the dealership said.

In my case that wouldn't work because that would put the drivers side against a narrow wall which makes it very hard to open the door.

Brian: The EV [email protected] charger comes with a 20' cord. But the cord length may not be as big an issue since the recharging port on the Karma is less than 15 feet away from the front of the car. Here is the illustration from Fisker's website:

So if you park your car a foot away from the wall, even an 18 foot cable should be able to reach and plug into the charging port.
