I knocked on my reclaimed wood, but it didn't do me any good today, as I had my first relatively "serious" issue. The damn thing wouldn't turn off. However, I do believe "I" am responsible for causing it, as I did the following: After backing into a parking spot, without thinking clearly, I pushed the "off" button while she was still in reverse. Upon realizing my Homer Simpson moment, I put her in park, hit the "off" button, and immediately noticed something was wrong. No matter what I did she would not turn off. I tried pushing the button three times fast...nothing...I tried holding it down for a few seconds...nothing...I tried turning the ICE on and off...nothing. I got out, locked the doors, walked away for 5 minutes or so, and the ever-popular "Red P" would never turn off, along with the command center screen. Finally, after once again reading through this wonderful FiskerBuzz forum (which I have followed for about 3 years now), I grabbed my phone, which had not been connected to the car for the last hour or so, and reconnected and dialed out. The very moment the phone call went "out" so did the car. She turned off immediately. Weird.
Anyway, the day was not a total loss (actually it was a great day overall), as look at the photo below. I was waiting for this moment, which from now on will be called my "409" moment. No matter how you look at it, it's cool...
Notice, however, the clock above, which says it was 4:10pm in Denver yet 5:10pm in my car. Denver is about two hours to the east, but we're in the same time zone...
