California Dealers not allowed to sell the Karma

I was told by my former Fisker dealership that the State of California will not allow them to legally sell any Fisker Karmas while the legal proceedings are still in flux. Interesting if true - anyone know more about this? I was told that my dealership has five Karmas in new/used car inventory that they are not allowed to sell. I asked if they could rent them long-term, but he wasn't sure... This is the former Palo Alto Fisker (which is also McLaren of San Francisco), which still services my Karma very nicely, thank you much!

Maybe there is a distinction between new and used Karma. Is the one that Eurocar selling new or has never been registered?

It's a used one they have it none available are new anyways
I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that none of the California dealerships signed on to become "Participating Dealerships" under the new warranty program. There is probably some relationship, but which is the cause and which is the effect? Are dealerships not allow to sell because NewFisker is punishing them for not participating, or did dealerships not sign up because they were prohibited in some way from doing so. Mysterious...
I just bought my Fisker a month ago from a San Jose dealership, so it shouldn't be an issue unless this took affect in the past few weeks.
It was suggested to me that since Fiskers sold in California were sold under emissions concessions, the expiration of those concessions might have accounted for the freeze (would only apply to new and unsold vehicles). Was your car new when you recently bought it?

It only applies to new and unsold vehicles. The closest Fisker dealer to you is in Palo Alto, so since you bought it in San Jose, I can only assume you bought the car used from a non-Fisker dealership? (congrats, BTW!) It was the Fisker dealership in Palo Alto (which is McLaren and Volvo now) that gave me the initial information. They have 4 or 5 new/unsold Karmas on the lot which they are not allowed to sell.
They are 4 or 5 cars for sale at Fisker of Denver :)
