I just received my personalized plates for my Karma. For those of you in California, the Arts Council plate mimics the design elements of the Fisker logo: orange setting sun and blue ocean. Very cool. :D

Finally rec'd the paperwork to put on my plate. My wife's parents were both Danish and she spent most of her childhood there. To be perfectly honest, that was the very first reason I even took a look at the Fisker back in 2008. For the curious, yes, it is my car (she drives a Volvo for carpool and such), but her plate says MTNLUBE, as she used to own quick oil change facilities. About 10 years ago I thought it would be a cool plate, so I got it. My truck says MTNSKI...

Can I ask you guys a technical question? How do you insert such nice photos? I tried to insert a photo and I got a reuest for URL. Even when I googled "URL" I still didn't understand what I needed to do! I am relatively computer illiterate, so I was pretty much done right there! Any tips?

URL is tech-speak for the web address of the photo you want to insert. Just copy and paste the link/web address of the photo into that box and you're all set.

There are a few threads and posts about this and you can read them in more detail, but basically, this is a two-step process. You need to upload the photo to an on-line photo sharing service such as Flikcr, photobucket or Picasa Web Albums (All of them are free to sign up and store photos), and then post the internet link for the photo you want to post (i.e., the URL) into the box when it asks for it.

The other and easier option is to make a generous donation to support the Forum to get the "Attachment" feature turned on and you can just attach your photos like you would when you send an email.

If you want the photo embedded in the post, the URL needs to be enclosed in

If you want the photo embedded in the post, the URL needs to be enclosed in tAgs. Using Photobucket, mouse over the photo and then click. On the bottom right box. That will copy the correct code to paste in your post.
