Nothing much new to report. I took it out once today and it worked flawlessly out and back - approx 40 miles. Other than that I get the usual set of random issues on most days, but I'm just waiting to hear from Henrik and to hear from my dealer when the software update is available.

I did get a call from Customer Service last night, however. They received my 6 page bug list and she said they've entered everything into the database for my car and will be tracking all of the bugs including the build quality issues such as the misaligned hood and creaking sounds from the back seat.

Brian,

Thank you for taking the time to put together the bug list, and for posting it here for us to download. It was very comprehensive and gave me a good idea what to steel myself for if my car actually arrives in the next couple of weeks.

Agreed, thx for posting the list. I've seen many (but not all) of the same issues, so I'm hoping we're not alone and that these will be fixed in the next release. I'm just surprised these bugs didn't show up in the test cars and addressed by Fisker before release. But....it's still a lot of fun to drive!

Thanks for the update. I did hear that 6.13 is rolling out this Friday and should be available at all of the retailers then. They also have a 6.14 update which will be rolled out in a week or two after that which will fix the presets, bluetooth phone quality, agree button/volume control issue, backup camera lockup and a few other things. The update after that, 6.15, will likely come out in early February and will fix some other less common issues.

I think when 6.20 or so comes out at the end of the year, we may have a faultless system.

Let's just hope that for the next few updates they find a balance between good testing and speed. The pressure from the media and the depositors, including our complaints and even deadlines on this forum, probably made them rush this command center to market before it was ready.

I wonder how long it takes before they bump it to major version rev like 7.0....

As someone else already suggested elsewhere, it would be nice if Fisker themselves posted a software version list, scheduled release date, and the bugs it addresses, much like motherboard manufacturer's do for their BIOS firmware updates, not to mention, Blu-Ray players, and pretty much every other internet-connected home appliance/electronic device that has firmware. I know the dates may shift, but it would be nice to have some idea of which faults Fisker Automotive is aware and their proposed addressing of them. This forum is nice to hear about this kind of stuff, but hearing it 'from the horse's mouth' gives a much greater level of peace of mind.

Yes, I would like to have some sort of revisions list so that I know what to look for when I get a software update. That way I can test specific things and see if I can remove them from my bug list.

PS. Car worked flawlessly again this morning. That's 2 days in a row with no malfunctions! A new record for me!

I think this is a great idea.

Of course, I'm an engineer. Marketing people hate to reveal that anything might have (gasp) bugs....

Kab, the list does exist - I believe that's what is sent to dealers and the Fisker corporate affairs team. I agree with you though - Fisker should have an owners-only section on the website with all of this info. It would greatly reduce their call volume and greatly increase customer confidence/peace of mind.

Amazingly, this is now Day 3 without any malfunctions at all! I'm not sure what I'm doing right (probably not fiddling with the Nav or Bluetooth), but I've had nothing go wrong for 3 days. It's amazing how much more I enjoy the car when it works.

Brian, so what are your impressions of the car now? Also, which version do you have on it? 6.12?

No, I'm still on 6.11 which is generally worse than what I started with, 6.10.

My impressions are that it's a great city car for daily chores. It's very easy to drive in start-stop situations because the regen does most of the braking, and there's none of that downshift delay when you need to punch the "gas". That makes it a very pleasing experience. Thing go downhill once it gets on the highway or streets > 50mph because that damned rattle from the backseat kinda ruins things, but I'm enjoying just peddling around the hood.

Sorry - a little confused - you had tons of problems with 6.10 but none with 6.11 (3 days so far), so how is 6.11 'worse'?

Have you considered simply 'shoving' something in between the parts that are rattling? Maybe that will stop it for now, until they can fix it more permanently.

It's not that easy. The entire plastic panel in the back where the speakers are connected creaks when you push on it. It's not a rattle like two things banging against each other - it's a creaking/rattle sound that seems to come from the entire panel as it flexes. It's odd, but if you push on the one in your car you'll know what I mean.
