They received my 6 page bug list and she said they've entered everything into the database for my car and will be tracking all of the bugs including the build quality issues such as the misaligned hood and creaking sounds from the back seat.
Heck, I'm baffled as to how the current one is version 6.SoCalGuy said:I wonder how long it takes before they bump it to major version rev like 7.0....
I think this is a great idea.kabalah70 said:As someone else already suggested elsewhere, it would be nice if Fisker themselves posted a software version list, scheduled release date, and the bugs it addresses, much like motherboard manufacturer's do for their BIOS firmware updates, not to mention, Blu-Ray players, and pretty much every other internet-connected home appliance/electronic device that has firmware. I know the dates may shift, but it would be nice to have some idea of which faults Fisker Automotive is aware and their proposed addressing of them. This forum is nice to hear about this kind of stuff, but hearing it 'from the horse's mouth' gives a much greater level of peace of mind.
Kab, the list does exist - I believe that's what is sent to dealers and the Fisker corporate affairs team. I agree with you though - Fisker should have an owners-only section on the website with all of this info. It would greatly reduce their call volume and greatly increase customer confidence/peace of mind.kabalah70 said:As someone else already suggested elsewhere, it would be nice if Fisker themselves posted a software version list, scheduled release date, and the bugs it addresses, much like motherboard manufacturer's do for their BIOS firmware updates, not to mention, Blu-Ray players, and pretty much every other internet-connected home appliance/electronic device that has firmware. The must have loaded 7.0 on your carbrian said:Amazingly, this is now Day 3 without any malfunctions at all! I'm not sure what I'm doing right (probably not fiddling with the Nav or Bluetooth), but I've had nothing go wrong for 3 days. It's amazing how much more I enjoy the car when it works.

Brian, so what are your impressions of the car now? Also, which version do you have on it? 6.12?brian said:Amazingly, this is now Day 3 without any malfunctions at all! Sorry - a little confused - you had tons of problems with 6.10 but none with 6.11 (3 days so far), so how is 6.11 'worse'?brian said:No, I'm still on 6.11 which is generally worse than what I started with, 6.10.
My impressions are that it's a great city car for daily chores. It's very easy to drive in start-stop situations because the regen does most of the braking, and there's none of that downshift delay when you need to punch the "gas". That makes it a very pleasing experience. Thing go downhill once it gets on the highway or streets > 50mph because that damned rattle from the backseat kinda ruins things, but I'm enjoying just peddling around the hood.

Have you considered simply 'shoving' something in between the parts that are rattling? Maybe that will stop it for now, until they can fix it more permanently.brian said:No, I'm still on 6.11 which is generally worse than what I started with, 6.10.

It's not that easy. The entire plastic panel in the back where the speakers are connected creaks when you push on it. It's not a rattle like two things banging against each other - it's a creaking/rattle sound that seems to come from the entire panel as it flexes. It's odd, but if you push on the one in your car you'll know what I mean.Dutch said:Have you considered simply 'shoving' something in between the parts that are rattling?
