Ug. Also in today's news alert: A123 filed for Ch. 11 bankruptcy (not fatal to Fisker, but no help either).

This is no new "news"...since early this year we all knew that the Atlantic will be delayed as no work has been done at the Delaware factory. Once Fisker starts equipping the factory, there will be a time-lag of about 18mts until first Atlantic rolls off. Also the A123 is no surprise and Fisker has looked into alternative supppliers long ago...all who follow the A123 story know that filing for Chapter 11 was only a question of time.

All in, no news...just reporters writing about something, because they have to...afterall, they also must make a living.
When you have a $5K deposit down it is news!

I also wished the Atlantic is produced earlier, cannot wait to get one. Back in April when the Atlantic was first introduced, I immediately made a reservation...but it was clear to me at that time that earliest, I will get the car sometime in 2015. Beautiful car, like the Karma...unfortunately, I need a 4WD...so Karma does not work for me, need to wait for the Atlantic.

I think your 2015 estimate may be more accurate. I know nothing about how all this works, but I think it was about 2 years from the time tesla moved into nummi until they really started cranking out S's (and I use that term loosely since they're till having factory hiccups).

Wonder if there would be much backlash if the first Atlantics came from valmet while they finalized things in Delaware?
