I wonder if Henrik Fisker ever gets tired of telling the same story over and over again.

The statement about not having to make any sacrifices if you can afford a $100K car is pretty crass, and actually not true. Compared to other $100K cars, the Fisker's performance is pretty tame, to say the least and there are a lot of neat gadgets on cars of that price range that are lacking in a Fisker (adaptive cruise control, Heads-Up display, Panic Braking assist, availability for purchase, etc.). Calling it a sacrifice is overstating it, but we are choosing between Fisker's vision of a responsible car and a faster, better equipped conventional car for the same price. It gets a bit annoying to be told that we are getting the perfect car -- we are not, because there is no such thing. Let's keep things in prospective here.

Yep, I agree entirely. Funny thing is that you can tell that Henrik is getting tired of repeating himself. He seems a bit bored in the latest interviews. I bet for every 1 time we see him repeat this stuff in a YouTube video he's had to tell it to at least 100 other people.

heads up display? cruise control? ... i'd settle for a visor and central reading light that didn't look like it came out of a 1995 toyota corolla ! was i the only one that thought those components seemed really cheap/flimsy?

Heck, I'm still trying to confirm if the car even has HomeLink or not. It's not listed in the options list, and if it's missing I'd say it's a pretty major omission.

I have been told that it does have Homelink, integrated into the driver's rear view mirror. If that's not correct, I'll be very unhappy.

My test drive is scheduled for Sept 1st. I'm thinking about developing a written list of things to look for, just so I don't forget anything. In fact, might not be a bad idea to develop it here. I'll start a new thread :)

Good idea - my test drive is in a week!!! We should start a separate thread on things to look for and I can report back shortly thereafter.
