OK, so I was supposed to get my Karma today (#208). I was told that the A123 reps were at the dealership working on the recall and the car would be delivered this evening. This evening, I was told that there is another recall that requires replacement of the 12 volt battery with a significantly larger 12 volt battery. My salesman had driven to another city two hours away to pick up the new batteries for several cars.
Has anyone else heard of this second issue?
At any rate, I now have a level two charger, a title, all paperwork, and an empty garage. My salesman has assured me that the car will be delivered tomorrow. I am very excited and willing to wait if work needs to be done. Just wondered if anyone else had heard of the need for 12 volt replacements.
