My car returned to the dealer today. They are supposed to be receiving 6.14.2 tomorrow and will flash my car. To date my problems have been relatively minor and and/or intermittent. the usual radio presets disappearing, trunk doesn't always open unless car is ON, side blinkers didn't work once (a bit scary), and proximity warning beeping all the way to work one day. I simply love this car even with it's software blemishes  Then again I'm a sucker for a pretty face judging by my two last wives LOL

Has anyone seen a list of fixes that are addressed with 6.14 and 6.14.2?

My car was supposed to be loaded with 6.14.2 and we should get it back tomorrow. I'm just wondering what to expect.

Thanks in advance.

My car has had 6.14 for 5 days now - I believe it was the first - and unfortunately it isn't the final solution yet. It solved several problems, like the freezing of the command center, but also introduced some new ones. Twice the car wouldn't go into D or R (it did so after I turned it off for a few minutes, until the PRND-lights went off). The trunk doesn't always open, a common phenomenon for some but new for me. Today the check-engine light came on again for the first time since the software was updates, and at the same time the speed reading in Sport Mode disappeared. And I've had a turn signal fault-warning for a few minutes.

So Fisker still has a long way to go. I know they are working hard to get things fixed and I will stand by them. But I'm starting to wonder if maybe software updates are not the solution. Maybe they have to design new software from the ground up - take half a year for that, test it thoroughly on a dozen cars - and then install it on all cars. Because I think there is something fundamentally wrong with the current version, maybe with conflicting software parts.

Having said that, I wouldn't want to part with the car for a second. It's such a smooth ride (so relaxed you never feel the need to speed) and it's such a beauty. This morning on the highway I was overtaken by two guys in an Aston Martin Rapide, as I was cruising along at 70 mph. They were watching with their mouths open. The driver actually braked hard (on the left lane) to let me pass by again, so they could have a better look. It must be the only car in the world with a price tag of just $100,000 that a Rapide-driver would stop for. After hovering around for a few minutes he took off again. Leaving me with a big grin on my face.

Do you know if you have 6.14.2 or just 6.14?

My car should be ready today with 6.14.2 and I sure hope I don't have the issues you're having. So I guess the only way to find out is to drive it and see.

I am also supposed to get my car back today with 6.14.2 on it. My fingers and toes are crossed. Only 4 weeks since I had my Karma in my garage. I don't care what problems it has, I'm not giving them my car back!
Cheers,

I believe I have 6.14 without any addition.

I would also want to skip a few updates to wait for bigger strides forward (and ofcourse to not have to be without my beloved car for a few days), but the PRND-problem is a bit too problematic to live with for a few months (I've experienced it on 2 of the 12 occasions I started the car this week).

PRND really needs to be fixed. I mean if you cant even start the car or put it in reverse its not much of a car:)

They should fix an "about commandcenter" that shows the version number[hr]

I'm going to stop commenting about my car. Seems like every time someone says "has anyone had this happen..." and it hasn't happened to me, no sooner do I post the good news but it happens to me. Kind of comical but last night when showing it to a friend I couldn't get the trunk to open like many others. But I still love the car. Its like a box of chocolates every day :)

Got my car back last evening. Trunk opened just fine. Had zero battery miles on it when it arrived. Opened the trunk to hook up my convenience charger and it wasn't there. Called the dealership to tell them they didn't return it with my car. They told me it was still plugged into the wall where they had kept my car parked, so they sent "road side service" last night to my house with it.
My beautiful Karma is now charging. I'm about to take it to the gym and tonight for our "date night". I have high hopes for 6.14.2.
So glad to have my car back after 4 weeks, niggles and all.

I am still running on 6.13.5. I have about 200 miles on the car and have experienced no problems. They called me from the dealership to tell me that 6.14 is here. I am supposed to have it installed this Tuesday but concerned that may develop "issues". Really torn about whether to do it or not.

There is an update for the Command Center (AM reception, Bluetooth quality, Sat presets, HVAC fan screen sticking, Speed warning voice now defaulted to show speed but no warning message and a few others) as part of the 6.14.2 release.

Does 6.14.2 have any fixes for the issue where certain functions of the car randomly do not start correctly, e.g. speedo doesn't work, Fisker logo displays but not the Accept screen, etc.?

I've had my car for 35 days/1100 miles and encounter this type of problem in about 1 in every 10 starts, even though I am very deliberate about my startup procedure. I'm running 6.13.5 and my car is at the dealer to have 6.14.2 installed.

if you had no problems i would wait for a later update...
I agree. If I could do it again I would have kept my earlier software-version and would have waited for a more advanced/tested version.

The version I had before (6.11 or 6.13) was giving me some problems, but they were less limiting than the new problems with 6.14 (PRND sometimes not working, trunk sometimes not opening).

All other improvements on the car were great: a quieter Sport Mode, no more brake squeal, no more wind turbulence near B-pillar.

I don't care about any of these. My really serious problem has been with the "Parking System Fail" error and the resulting behavior of the drive system that makes the car undrivable and requires a hard reboot. Does 6.14 or 6.14.2 address that problem?

Today, (running 6.12), when I started the car, the Parking Brake light was not on - but lucky for me, I remember I had engaged it when I parked, so I toggled it off and on, then off and I could hear the brakes release, and was able to go. Had I not remembered, this could have been a big problem!

By the way, in what way does 6.14 make a "quieter Sport mode"? I hope it doesn't reduce the power, because so far, my car has been pretty zippy. I put 175 miles on the car today, almost entirely in Sport mode (lots of highway driving, averaged 24mpg). Car handled like a champ.

I was told by one of the engineers that 6.14 changes the way in which the ICE engages when you switch on Sport Mode. It takes care of some of the high revving, if I remember well.

But for me the biggest change to Sport Mode was not in the software upgrade. When it was at the dealer's for a few days they replaced the connection between engine and exhaust. It is no longer a sturdy connection, it is more flexble. This reduces vibrations. They also replaced bolts (with bigger ones) and made sure the heat shield doesn't touch the exhaust. All these things together have made Sport Mode notably quieter.

My dealer just informed me that several of his customers are still having a lot of unfixed issues with 6.14.2. They will hold my car so the regional manager can oversee the update taking place. I will let you guys know how she drives after I get my car back tomorrow.
