10 days and 995 miles...

So now that I got my largely untouched but software updated Karma back, I put another 325 miles on it in the last three days. Here are the new issues I'm encountering with 6.14.2:

- Check oil light flashes/chimes on and off every now and again - it never stays on for more than maybe a second - this never happened to me with 6.12

- The dash/speedo/acceleration freezes at zero mph - this has happened to me TWICE in the last 2.5 days - never happened to me with 6.12- interesting to note that the odometer/tripometer doesn't advance when the dash is frozen. and its not recording that movement either. I probably drove 2-3 miles with the dash frozen. When I parked, shut down the car, started up (dash then started working properly), the odometer didn't change from when the dash first froze. So its not recording the data - this probably affects MPG calc too

- Had the rear view camera 'green screen' once - used to happen randomly also with 6.12

- I still get the energy flow screen that occasionally says "0mpg"

- Bluetooth phone quality still terrible

I think outside of the sat presets being fixed, this update was actually WORSE than my original 6.12

so the only thing fixed was sat presets and some bugs addes?
I can't see how they are allowed to NOT issue a safety recall on issues involving the speedometer and odometer. If a simple software glitch allows incorrect mileage, I would think some government fraud people would be interested in this.
How is a non-working speedometer a safety issue? Is the car going to crash when you don't know the speed?
I don't make the laws Dutch. Excerpt from Pennsylvania Department of Motor Vehicles Safety Inspection Criteria for annual safety inspection:

http://www.dmv.state.pa.us/inspections/pub_45.shtml

Section E

175.73. SPEEDOMETERS.
A vehicle specified under this subchapter shall
have an operating speedometer calibrated to
indicate miles per hour or kilometers per hour.
175.74. ODOMETERS.
A vehicle specified under this subchapter, except
a motor vehicle at least 25 years old, shall have an
operating odometer calibrated to indicate total
miles or kilometers driven.

The key word being "operating" in this case.

Isn't prudent to shut the car down and reboot it if the spedometer is not working? Has there been instances where the speedo did not work correctly after a simple reboot?
Cheers,
I'm running 6.14.2, and my sat and radio presets refuse to stay, so I don't think that was fixed (at least not very well) with the latest update. Speedo has gone out once, but I didn't notice about the miles not advancing as I drove. Will check next time it happens (as I'm relatively sure it will). Never seen the "check engine" or "oil" light yet...
how hard can it be to get radio presets to work for fisker:)-
Yeah its very bizarre. I wonder if the issue is hardware related because its the same software being rolled out and every single customer has a different experience. My car never had the dash or check oil problems running 6.12.
Just joined the club and got my first CEL! Fortunately doesn't seem to have any bearing on anything. I'd gladly give up the Speedo to not have my odometer advance LOL
I've only lost my presets one time and that was the one time I tried a "hard reboot".
Everyone does know there are 3 pages of presets for each band: AM/FM/SAT so make sure you are on the right page of your presets, as show by the three circles with one of them filled in.
Just received 6.14.2 have same issues as the rest with one addition, I can no longer charge my car with my 220v charger. Is anyone else having this same issue?[hr]
has anyone had problems charging your car with a 220v charger?

Haven't tried charging it since I got 6.14.2, though my dealer had charged it to about 32-34 miles of range after the 'upgrade'.
My dealer told me he charged the car with 220v before I picked it up. I charged it the night I picked the car up and was only able to charge the car to 46 miles. The nest day it would only charge the car to 22 miles. Next put the car on the 110v charger and it charged the car to 50 miles.
Don't give up on the 220v charger just yet. I sometimes have the same problem with the 110v charger. Last night after a full 12 hours of charging , I only had 19 miles this morning. Every other time the last week or so, I've had full 50 miles in the morning. So, today I had to use the ICE for much of the driving and it killed my average MPG. I had only used a gallon of gas in close to 200 miles, but today it went back down to around 100mpg.
So, I think sometimes it just doesn't boot correctly. For some stupid reason, I feel like if I close the car, take my time, then lock the car and then hook up the charger it works correctly. I don't know.
Cheers,
Sigurd - I've seen the same thing with the 110v charger. The same routine (lock, leave, then plug in) seems to work reliably

I have had no problem with 220V charging since 613.5 and the charger worked just fine last night with 614.2. You may want to reset your charger (just power it off and back on from the circuit breaker) to make sure there are no issues there.

I'm only using the 110v and it's charged to 50 each time. The presets for the seat keep coming and going. I've only used one key FOB, and each time after a charge I have to reset the seat. Yes, I made sure under "settings" that it was the same FOB, and I also gave up wasting time with the SAT and radio presets, although I do notice that each time they've gone bye-bye it was first thing in the morning after an overnight charge. Coincidence?
Richard, I thought I had the same issue with 6.13 abotu the seat. Then I tried it again, I set the seat and steering wheel where I wanted, then went into the system settings for seat memory and pressed the set button. Works like a champ now... when it works. Sometimes, I power up and nothing. As for charging, the one day or night that I only had 19 miles charge the next day, I recall that the whoel house had a power flicker and I am betting that it caused a momentary fault in the charger and never continued the process. I have yet to have it happen again to confirm that this is an issue, but seeing how finicky the karma can be it may have been enough for it to say "I am done playing." It is bound to happen again with the storms we get here in Northern Alabama.
