Very interesting - if the demand for the Revero had been there, this restructuring would not have been necessary. The reduction in investment money and the stated (though potentially fake) goal of gaining profitability of KA by outsourcing its facilities support the notion that KA is being left to fend for itself. Sink or swim. Quite a different message from the one we heard a year or so ago, where the deep pockets of the Chinese parent and personal passion the CEO of Wanxiang had for EVs, meant that this was a long-term project aimed at getting things right. Someone has got cold feet - it is noteable that no mention of building cars for the Chinese market surfaced in this article or any other projections were mentioned. Is a downsized company one that you'd want to buy a car from? And what message does Bob Kruse's departure make? These sorts of changes are rarely what they seem - given Bob's age, I expect his role was mainly oversight/titular anyway, so his departure may indicate a disagreement at high levels, especially since he was apparently "aggressively promoting the new car" over the past few weeks... KA might not be around for much longer.
