Default Removing/replacing those airbag warning labels

I've read that solvents like Goo Gone or Goof Off can be used to remove airbag warning stickers from alcantra-covered visors (like ours). Has anyone tried?

I suppose the alternative is to order replacement visors from countries (in Europe perhaps) that do not require these warning stickers.

If I objectively look at the interior of the Karma, these stickers are, by a mile, the most unattractive things in the cabin.

You are so right, the only ugly part of the interior is that warning label. My dealer says there is "no way" to remove them. I hope someone proves him wrong.

Agreed. If there is a way to remove them without damaging the visor, I would be very interested. In my last couple of cars, they came off very easily. The newer regulations must require a permanent adhesive.

I have The Same sticker in my car in The netherlands so i do not think there are sticker-less visors available.

Goo gone and goof off supposedly will not damage alcantra, so it's worth a try. I might be brave enough to run the experiment when I get a chance. From what I've read, the key is to go slow and to never PULL on the sticker-- instead, let the solvent dissolve the adhesive and wait ~10 minutes before rolling/peeling back the sticker at the edge.

Dutchman: my condolences and thank you for this useful information.

I wouldn't try this myself but I've heard a hair dryer works.

I was looking at the visors in my car today and it almost feels like that there is no sticker but the warning is actually printed directly on the fabric. I cannot feel any sort of edge around the warning. Needless to say, I will not be assaulting the visor with any sort of solvent or a hair dryer.

We should all go in on some replacement visors and experiment with getting the "sticker" off.

Dear Mr. Fisker,
In future please attach the airbag stickers and other required warnings and disclosures on the car with the same tacky looking stickers the other car makers use; not the nice woven in the fabric type. All expense should be spared on these necessities; you can trust your customers. We will remove the stickers immediately upon delivery, and the interior of your exquisitely designed car will shine.

I am so happy that in 6 months time long lists of complaints have disappeared and that we now worry about a sticker on a visor.
