Default McLaren vs Fisker vs Aston Martin

After living with my recently purchased 2012 McLaren MP4-12C about a month now, I am amazed (once again) how well the Karma stacks up against other high-end cars. The McLaren is blisteringly fast and very smooth when driven "normally", and perfectly engineered. But I still appreciate the smooth power delivery and cornering tightness of the Karma as much or more than any car in my garage. When the day's activities call for a 4-door, I am amazed that I am not bummed out to put aside the McLaren , the Aston Martin, or any of the other 2-doors I love. After close to 3 years of driving the Karma, it still thrills me, feels very special, and garners as much or more positive attention than most every car I've driven. As an avid car collector an amateur racer, I believe I have a fairly good perspective to say that the Karma is a world-class car. Apologies for the crappy phone pic, but I had a great evening ride last night and just had to capture the karma of the moment! And the McLaren still makes me feel like a kid. A stupid kid.

Thanks for this observation Dave. I am a kid at heart around cars and your experience and collection affirm my sense of this neat if temperamental ride.

As I said in another thread, I love you collection and always appreciate your sharing.
Thanks again.

I know you have to improvise because of the lack of snow in your area, but isn't it a bit too early for Christmas trees?

HA! Never too early... but in this case, those are my neighbor's Oaks lit up for a party. It's 80-90 degrees here this week, so we will hold off on the Christmas lights a tad longer. Unless you can ship us some early-season snow from Germany!

About 8500 and counting. About 4500 first year and 2K each year since. I drive about 10K a year and it gets split among about 10 vehicles.

Beautiful stuff, NJ!!! I'm always looking out for bigger signs, but here in Calif they are hard to come by locally. I love the Jeepster. Last time I was back East, I noticed these have a good following back there!

Have to agree with the sentiment. I don't daily drive the Karma but when I do take her out - it is an *event*. Never fails to draw attention. I've owned plenty of fancy cars but this one just has this "je ne sais quoi". If I ever sell it, I'll no doubt be sorry.
