Default How many 2012 Fisker Karmas are still on the road?

Hello,

I have just recently joined this forum so I apologize if this information has already been discussed numerous times. I was wondering how many 2012 Fisker Karmas are still on the road? I have checked copart and seen many photos of crashed/burned/flooded Fiskers. To my best knowledge I read that there were around 1800 ever made for the USA, after 8 years I wonder how many are still up and running and on the road? I would love to hear from this forum about any info, thanks.

It’s a good question, but I don’t know if there’s a way to track all the destroyed cars. Maybe if someone had the list of VINs and an unlimited CarFax account, they could figure it out, and it would be interesting to know (seems all the VINs start out the same and last 4 or so numbers differ, telling you which number car you have - mine ends 0328, so I have the 328th car made).

When asked, I say “there were about 2000 made”, but I think I’d read 2300, and your 1800 in the US may be true. I don’t even know if the hundreds destroyed by flood in NJ counted toward the 2000 (or 1800).

I think less then 2400 vin nummers issued. around 300 went down in Sandy and about 200-500 could be attributed to factory parts and VLF conversion to Destino; Figuring some may be totaled, i say 1600-1800 seems about right.

Default How many Fisker Karmaís

As i acquired a rare Laguna Blue Karma myself, i did some online search on quantities made and delivered.
From color data i found:
488 Eclipse Black
464 Silver Wind
451 Shadow Grey
383 Deep Ocean
332 White Sand
261 Earth
145 Inferno Red
100 Silver Mirage
75. Laguna Blue
This makes a total of 2699 cars made.
During Hurricane Sandy 330 + 16 = 346 cars were lost to flooding and fire. These were scrapped and did not come to the market.
Notably, as this was one of the later shipments it had 31 Laguna Blue cars that were lost. Therefore, of the 75 produced only 44 came to the market making this a very rare color.
The total of 2699 - 346 = 2133 delivered.
For Europe i found a total of 488 cars but also a number of 533 (by registration year: 2 in 2011, 370 in 2012, 116 in 2013 and 45 in 2014). Logically the last 45 is the difference between the 488 and 533. These 45 were possibly delivered after the bankrupt Fisker (chapter 11 in Nov 2013) was taken over by the Chinese.
Therefore, if 2133 cars came to the market and eventually 533 in Europe the number for the USA would be exactly 1600.
I had found other data of 1962, including the Sandy wrecks which would come to 1614 cars onto the USA market.
For Europe i found data by country although not complete:
179 in the Netherlands, 55 in Switzerland, 52 in Belgium, 44 in France, 16 in Austria and 9 in Portugal. No data yet on the other (533-345) 188 cars.

Finally, i am trying to track the 44 Laguna Blue cars, the 43 sisters of my car but this is of course very difficult. However, the Laguna Blue cars were only produced at the end of the production period (which ran from July 2011-November 2012) - so far i find only VIN numbers ending between 2615 and 2670. I have the following numbers so far: 2615, 2655, 2660, 2667, 2670, 2672
I have been told there are only 3 Laguna blue cars delivered in Europe, mine is the only one registered in the Netherlands, from Kroymans i heard there is one in Spain, but i am not aware of any others.

If you have any update on my data I appreciate your input !!!

Kind regards,
Rob

Sorry for data confusion
2699 - 346 is 2353 and not 2133.
However, please note that the 100 Silver Mirage cars were not delivered to the market (this was never an option color) but used by Fisker for testing, crash tests, certification, etc.
The other 120 cars i have not accounted for as yet...

Kind regards,
Rob

I own the Laguna Blue in Atlanta (selling it). Henrik Fisker has one with the winter rims. 3 more are for sale online (Carguru & AT). Pat's garage serviced a few I think. There used to be one in SC. That's all I know.

I have never seen another Laguna Blue OTR, only me. It's been a great car for me, no issues, but time for something new.

Yes it would be interesting to know that seems all the VINs start out the same and last 4 or so numbers differ.

The last numbers are the order your car was built off the line, 0001 to 2699. Later the number, the later the production, the better chance it the kinks where worked out and fixes applied.

0001 to 0100 where the limited edition Fiskers (or there abouts). I don't think I have seen a VIN past 2685, but I am no expert.
