Exclamation High Voltage Battery module

My never had problems except for the 12 volt battery that after having the car parked for two months needed to be replaced, service performed by a Fisker / Karma dealer that over the years installed the upgrades and did the regular maintenance.
When I picked up the car the high voltage battery was fully loaded showing a 50 mile electric range.
After driving the car for about 70 miles in Sport Mode the HV battery still indicated a 27 miles range left and 10 seconds later indicated zero.
I was informed it is a damaged module that represents a $5,500 repair or the substitution for a new HV Battery that costs $15,000.
Does anyone knows who rebuilds those batteries or alternative less ehpnesive solutions? Thanks.

$5500 for replacing a single module seems really high to me. I had one replaced for just over $3000, and it may be even cheaper now.

Thanks for your comment.
Some people say that once you replace one module the others tend to have problems. Who replaced your module?

That hasn't been my experience. I had a module replaced a couple of years ago and the car has been perfect since. The trick is to make sure whoever does it knows what they are doing, and they know how to properly balance the battery. I had mine done by Joe, aka @FiskerPhilly at https://evolutionautosports.com/ For a module replacement he's one of only a couple places I would trust. To wit: We have a perfectly competent and trained Fisker/Karma dealership and service center here in Atlanta but I still shipped my car to Joe for this.

Good luck. Honestly, repairing a module and rebalancing is nothing to be worried about, and trust me, you'll be happy with the result.

Brent

Were you here in Atlanta yesterday!? I think I may have seen in sandy springs close to roswell rd. $5500 is toooooo much for a single battery module cause a whole new battery pack is $20k or less. Try Fisker Atlanta I hold this exact same problem they fixed it & balanced it about 10k miles so far it works perfectly in stealth. However they will charge you about $4k for that job. Best to send it to fisker philly/Joe or at least call him 1st.

I greatly appreciated the input of the Forum members sharing their experiences. I was not in Atlanta yesterday. My car is parked at my garage in Florida, For sure I'll check all the possibilities. Thanks you all!

...if you have the chance to work with Joe in Philly - feel blessed! Been there to visit - flew over from Switzerland just to meet. Preparing to ship my car to him one day if necessary!

Best
