Default Hello & Help!

Hello all,

I'm a newbie to this forum and a recent purchased Fisker (3hrs ago). I love this car, and I hear should be ready to deal with the issue it may have. Thaty said I love working on ICE cars so learning how to work on an EV is the logical next step.

I know the previous owner of the car, and was being serviced at Grand touring in Toronto. Once it was towed to philly for something to be done (fiskerphilly???) car has about 60k(kms) Previous owner has a limited knowledge of car, he knows it had its oil changes done and fixed when broken lol

As my wife was driving it home Reduced performance light came on. she pulled over and got a coffee as she waited for me. she waited 15 min and as i was not there she started driving again no light was on. i took it around the block and seems fine. There was a check engine light, used my code reader:

P0004 Faulty Fuel Volume Regulator (FVR) Control Solenoid
P0300 Cylinder Misfire Detected Random Cylinders
P0301 Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected
P0303 Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected

I have search the forum and have seen people talking about resetting the car (need to search how) and checked the coolants all seem fine.

Thoughts?

To my ontario owners, has anyone found a good tech in the GTA? One with a scanner?

I charged the car over night (with the the level 1 charger) i got about 40km and drove it down to 0km in stop and go traffic, the battery gauge showed it had some power still available, but the ICe never turned on. When does it kick in?

My experience is that it turns on when it needs to turn on.

Lots of misfires usually indicates that you need a new coupler; search this forum for coupler issues. $4k to fix.

I have been reading up on the coupler issue. This might be my issue. I might send the car to grand touring in Vaughn ontario to fix it. Has anyone else sent it there for this problem?

Also the TOM upgrades that I have seen, to my understanding it give additional driving settings and faster charging. Is it a simple plugin DIY?

I seem to recall some discussion about a new and improved coupler. Not sure if the Revero ones fit the Karmas or not, but I suggest you contact the experts like @FiskerPhilly before committing to the repair.

Sorry for the late post,

I was out of the country for a while and I finally got a chance to send the car to EVolution Autosports. (fiskerphilly) Joe was amazing with customer service, took the time to discuss everything that could be happening and options. Sent the car round trip Niagara to Philly for $700 usd, for me worked out cheaper than flying and less time traveling.

Coupler was the issue
Got new keys as I can only assume he allowed stray dogs to use the keys as chew toys.
License plate lights
TOM Module
650A fuse

The actual service time was not long, a few days but due to my schedule car was gone for two weeks. I'm very happy! not a single issue since this took place in march and it is a 3 day a week (50Km/d) driver.

Next on the list: (plese let me know your thougts)

the car is eco chic, with the blue microfiber, the steering wheel now looks like black leather.

option 1: I tried a tooth brush and water, worked well. going to use a larger brush and baby detergent and clean that mofo
Option 2: Wife want to rewrap the wheel, in leather

the plastic windows in the center console, wrapping in grey carbon fiber

all chrome exterior trim is being wrapped in black carbon fibre

All of these mods are due to these parts looking aged, blistering or scratched

Interesting idea. I'd like to see what it looks like if you have that done.
