Default Hello from Delaware

Good evening folks. My name is Chris and I live in Wilmington, Delaware. I've been a vintage car enthusiast for a very long time. Quite a while ago I realized that I have an extensive bucket-list of vintage play cars I've wanted to own. So for the past few years now I've been tackling my bucket-list by buying a car from that list, enjoying it for a year, selling then moving to the next on the list. I do this primarily for the joy of ownership and to experience different cars that don't fit for my family of six. Also, I typically make Youtube videos of my cars too as a way of memorializing my time with the car.

Recently I sold a really nice Desoto and I've been searching for my next buy. I was at a local Cars and Coffee and there was a super sexy Karma in red that stirred up some emotions in me that I typically only feel for the vintage stuff. That led me here and this introduction.

So i'm starting to educate myself on the Karma, specs, pricing, troublesome items, technology, durability and availability. My hopes is that with some more time studying this car and with the help from this forum, I will feel confident enough to start the search for my own Karma.

So that's my story and I look forward to delving into the Karma and hopefully very soon making a purchase too.

Thanks for listening,
Chris

@hullinger, Chris, saw your post on Facebook and was going to suggest that you join here, which you already did. Very good move. There is a huge amount of useful information on this site as well as many enthusiasts who will be happy to share their wisdom and experience with you, as well as real experts like @FiskerPhilly and @Harleyguy, as well as folks like @PowerSource who are working on extending and upgrading these great cars. A really great place to start is this post that summarizes a lot of basic information in one central location.

If you only plan to keep the car a short time, your best bet is to get a certified one from @FiskerPhilly that comes with 2-year bumper-to-bumper warranty. That way you re covered when you drive the car, and can transfer the rest of the term to the new owner when/if you decide to sell the car on after a year.

Whatever you decide, you are among friends and fellow enthusiasts here, so don’t hesitate to ask any question you have.
