Hello Everyone,

I have been talking for the past weeks with one of the Karma owners trying to figure out a way to help everyone at least in California with repairs done under warranty. I have applied with FA to become one of their authorized repair centers but it will take a while for them to make up their minds, so we came with an idea. Maybe if a good number of owners point that they would like to have their cars fixed at my shop, FA will follow trough and get the ball rolling toward an approval, and we can start fixing your cars under warranty. Later on today i will open a fresh thread with that subject and hopefully it will have a effect on FA management to make a faster decision.
Please let me know what you think.
Thank you,
Alex

At least is getting a little closer. The last note I saw was to contact a dealership in Texas! I'm getting the feeling it is going to be a slow process.
I think the warranty is good for 18 months starting in September so I hope the "slow process" doesn't take 18 months or we're SOL.

I was unaware of any "warranty" settlement and have done nothing. What should I do now?
BTW, thanks for the heads up!

It doesn't look like you filed for the warranty but here is what FiskerPhilly outlined the different tiers of eligibility:

All owners of a Karma get $2000 base warranty parts/labor any combination.

Original owners who didnt file as a claimant get base $2000 plus $3000 in parts and $2000 addl labor ($1500 FA/$500 dealer responsible) totalling $7000

Claimants get base $2000 plus addl $5000 parts and $3000 labor ($2000 FA/$1000 dealer responsible)totalling $10000.

Default FA dupes original owners over warranty claims

All, This just received from FA regarding replacement or repair of the HV battery pack on my original signature series Karma:

The court ordered program limits the reimbursement of funds based on the availability of parts to Fisker Automotive & Technology Group, LLC. The Customer Support Program does not issue reimbursement for any parts purchased from outside vendors and not directly available in inventory from Fisker Automotive & Technology Group, LLC. At this time, we do not have any high voltage batteries in stock, therefore Fisker Automotive & Technology Group, LLC will not assume responsibility for this replacement.

This is not what the customer service plan stated and said that FA would provide parts which were reasonably available commercialy.

Just one more lie as this new company tries to avoid paying anything for warranty claims .

I contacted Fisker through their website this morning and asked what is an original owner entitled to under the new "Customer Care" program. The response is below:

Below is the breakdown of the Customer Service Program for an Original Fisker Owner:

Original Owner:

An amount not to exceed $2,000 towards labor and parts (subject to availability in Fisker Inventory and subject to allotted funds availability)

an amount not to exceed $2,000 per vehicle of replacement parts (subject to availability in Fisker Inventory)

an amount not to exceed $1,000 per vehicle for related labor

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Sincerely,

The New Fisker Team

I just emailed Corp. to try and get a definitive answer on why (with other states online) can't an authorized entity be found to take care of warranty work here in Southern Calif. We have options defined right on this board (which I believe Corp. monitors) so I don't understand why they can't get an authorized service location set-up in their own backyard. (sorry, a bit frustrated)

Any other SoCal owners ready to combine our voices and try and make something to happen?
