Default CIU and water intrusion

Can someone help me with the water intrusion fix as a remedy to CIU failures? I have been poking around the site and can't find the specifics - IE what was done, etc as well as where the CIU is.

I want to get out ahead of this by ensuring my car has the mod and checking the CIU itself for water intrusion before it gets damaged and quits working.

I just had the problem. CIU went bonkers, but car still drove. Fisker/Lamborghini Palm Beach pulled out the unit and dried it out. Now works fine.
Leak under the windshield wiper in the hood cowling. Silicone sealed it.
Everybody should do this, as it is not an uncommon problem.
