Update to my CIU Issue: First, I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to Harleyguy for sending me his Puma programmer and the CIU software. My issue is now resolved.
The dealership I went to told me that my CIU was bad and needed to be replaced due to water intrusion/damage..............Price Tag $2,600.
I communicated with Harleyguy and took a chance with his tool to resolve my issue.
Just to be clear, below are the issues I had with my CIU. Your issue may be different from mine...
1) Radio (AM/FM/SirusXM) Presets will not retain after turning off the car and turn back ON after 2 minutes
2) No bluetooth. Phone will NOT connect
3) Preset of sound preferences won't hold
4) USB Port won't recognize iPod
From what I've read in many post and the information from Karma Automotive, if your CIU is water damaged all you will is the Fisker logo on the screen. In my case everything was working except the issue listed above.
To be on the safe side, I obtained the document on how to seal the area where water would usually get into the CIU. I'll post the document here later after I scan the 9 pages.
So, if you're having this type of issue contact Harleyguy.
