Unhappy Automatic reset

Hi All,

Yesterday when I started up the car in the morning, all I heard was the hissing of radio static and the everything was in miles and F! And everything was reset

I set everything up except the bluetooth refuses to pair with my phone. Ok...but when I switch off and come back later, all the presets are gone, except the approach lights and the mirrors fold off when I lock the car. Radio, temperature, distance metrics, etc are all gone.

Please note that I downgraded to 6.15 in April to have the TOM installed. I had some minor settings being reset since then, but this is the first time everything is reset and it doesn't save anything once I shutdown.

Anybody else face the same issue? Any idea on a resolution?

Where are located and yes itís common did you drive the car in the rain or use a garden hose and spray water into the cowling

Sorry, should have mentioned that earlier. I'm based in Belgium.

No, nothing into the cowling. I did have my car washed a week ago. But no issues in all these days. And it didn't rain last week either. And the car has been always in a closed garage.

What could be the resolution here? Reflash or.....?

3 hours drive Ok, will do it.

But question remains....how to avoid this in the future since it was definitely not water related. Thanx in advance!

Hello IceKEwl
I put my karma for repair yesterday and they took off the cover to the interior filter and said that something has to be sealed inside, otherwise water will come to the CIU.

Greeting
Axel

Yes, a clever step...
It is essential to apply sealant and keep everyting clean to avoid water related problems. Especially in heavy rain and / or if someone use to much water when washing the car, this may cause water to drip on to the CIU unit...

Thanks for this. Oddly, I had the same exact issue 2 days ago when I tried playing music off my phone, everything just went haywire and would flash back and forth and at one point got the high pitched sound until I turned the car off.

Thanx Axel F & SirCastic,

Will request additional sealant when I take the car in.

Harleyguy, I guess you recommend the same?

And is it solved now? And if yes, what did you do?
