Default Silver Buttons on headrest

What are the silver buttons on headrest for? It does not seem like they do anything.

They are decorative accents.

Yes. You're meant to push the leather in around/outside them and hook a hanger on it.

Only works with European hangers though. Need an adapter to use American hangers.

During my research on the original version of the car , the silver buttons were the headrest adjustment buttons. When the car went into production, the headrest was built in a fixed position, but the button detail remained. They are just decorative now.

This is probably the most rational and believeable explanation for the button. Converting a functional element to a design flourish is very very Fisker Karma.

I never tried to press the outer ring. I had pressed the inner button, thus it appeared decorative. It would seem to be an awkward position to hang something, especially since there are coat hangers above both rear doors.

Who would have ever thought, those buttons would get all this scrutiny. LOL

The good news, is a lot has settled down, and we are chatting on the "mundane". 57,000 mile and doing well. I never got a F.O.R.D to last this long.

Happy Thanksgiving to All.

I think that the silver button is perfect for hanging a jacket without using a hanger…

I am a little bit puzzled about “European hangers”, maybe someone is thinking about traveling hanger (“Reseklädhängare” in Swedish). However, I think we're is a big concern about scratching the leather. Well… I think I will stick with the “soft solution”… The “built in cord” in the jacket.

I’ll try to find out more about “European hangers” if someone has a picture, and of course be able send such a “European hangers” if someone wants one… or to…
