Default Please HELP 12volt battery not charging

#1089 Eclipse.

My 12 volt battery was needing charged about every three days. I decided to have a new interstate installed. Sure enough, 3 days after installation the battery was dead again. I charge it up to 100% and in 3 days like clock work it is dead. I drive it about 25 miles per day with no issues while driving. Not even so much as a light flicker. I jump in on the 3rd day and cant even open the door. Some other things I have noticed: When driving in sport mode the battery high voltage battery does not charge, in fact is slowly depletes. Is there any chance I blew a fuse during charging? or possibly a relay? Hate to think that it is the APM. Thank you so much for any help. Matt

The HV voltage battery isn't charged by the car in any mode the only time you can increase battery voltage is in Hill mode.
You need to find out what's drawing voltage in the car or whats easier is checking the output of the APM.
I would start with checking the APM output one common draw was the CIU wasn't shutting off.

While the car is in ready mode open the hood go to the APM thatís the module close to the firewall drivers side. Look on the side of the APM you will see a black cover with a red bolt under the cover thatís the positive use that and the ground you can use the APM case .

Check what the output voltage is while in ready

Thanks SirClastic !
On my karma, I have 12.46V between the red terminal of the apm and mass body but no contact in the car ...
Can apm be involved?
Someone would have ideas? I despair !
Help me !
Nicolas.

You should read 12,60 volt or more with a fully charge battery.
The car's computers, relays, etc. needs a high-quality 12-volt battery with high cranking amps (CA) to work properly and overall performance.

I suspect that your 12-volt battery has voltage but no amps, you better review your voltage-ampere relationship by conducting a load test.

The APM module will charge the 12 volt battery and provide power to all 12-volt system components when the ignition is on. The high voltage battery is mainly used for propulsion but at the same time an integral part of the overall system.

Also, remember that there are 400 volts direct current in some of the parts that you are troubleshooting. The main fuse for the high-voltage battery is located under the left rear seat.
