Our logic is the source button would turn into fan speed by pressing the mute button. Once mute is turned off then the source button would work as normal- this would work on any screen and at any time. Once you get into changing things like the volume button and things of that nature then the sheer amount of validation work necessary to ensure that everything functions properly in all use cases could be significant. Firm believer in keeping it simple but effective.

We are also working on making the useless voice command button bring up Siri, Google Voice, Cortana etc if a phone/tablet is connected via Bluetooth- rather than the built in voice command system. If a phone or other device is not connected via bluetooth the voice command button would retain its current functionality.

That's good to understand, and the latter is a really good idea. So, is there information about "you" elsewhere on the internet?

You can sign up for our official mailing list here:

http://www.pwr-source.com/

We are working with some other major OEM's (Karma is more or less a labor of love) currently but cannot discuss more than that due to us being in "stealth" still. Will share whatever we can once we are allowed to.

How come the number of days went from 134 to 145 between when I first went there, and after I signed up?

WOW!! You have done more in the past few weeks than Fisker has done in 3 years. Fisker should hire your company to implement these features. Keep up the good work. I am thoroughly enjoying the videos and insight.

For those that are interested; here is a full demo of the dual purpose climate control, fan control, audio source, track up and track down buttons.

When the audio is muted the source, track up and track down buttons act as fan speed up, fan speed down and on/off/auto for the climate control system. In the video you can see the fan speed change (upper right corner) while on the media page of the infotainment system.

https://youtu.be/MNNjKwdlqYw

Let us know if there is any feedback for the control strategy that we have implemented. This feature can be toggled on or off for those of us who like to change audio source when the audio is muted ! We have some exciting features that will be coming to fruition in the near future and will keep the forum posted on developments when they are ready.

So, what are you developing? Is it a chip? Is it a software patch? What happens when Fisker releases an official software update? What are we looking at from a "product" notion?

This was explained in this thread:

From my understanding Fisker does not own the SW necessary to do any of these modifications aka VCM, HCU etc so they must depend on suppliers to do the work and implement the changes. Furthermore some of these functions are not possible due to a legacy hardware limitation within the vehicle itself. There are major limitations compared to where ECU's have went as the architecture is 8-9 years old. Our product is an ECU that was developed and recently licensed to a major OEM. We are applying a similar type of technology to the Karma. It will be plug and play and allow for updates if the customer so desires. Initially we will have a few features baked in and will be adding features every few months based on user feedback. We also plan on releasing higher capacity battery packs (subscribers on our mailing list got a sneak peak of that a few weeks ago) and this module is necessary for that modification. Can't say too much more than that. Hopefully that answered your question.

You're doing a **** of a job piquing our interest! I'm anxious for details: When? How? How Much? I suspect I'll just have to be patient

FANtastic idea and something that should absolutely go into 540 or whatever - this is a necessary modification because changing fan speed is very difficult and dangerous to do while driving (VERY dangerous).
