Default Obscure Nav System Setting

I was poking around with the much maligned nav system today and found myself deep in the menus setting the options for the routes and noticed that in addition to the usual "Shortest" and "Fastest" routes, the Fisker Nav system lets you pick the "Economical" route. I can't find any reference to this in the documentation. Does anyone know what routing algorithm the "Economical" option uses? I have never seen this on any other Nav system and it seems intriguing.

I'd think it would include speed limit on the roads you are traveling combined with shortest. My 40-45 MPH road trips that include a fair number of stoplights have given me some of the best EV/battery only miles in my Volt.

Aside: The Volt has an "easiest" which throws me some as well. Suspect it is limited number of roads/turns.

That seems plausible. In addition, it could factor in up/down slopes in the calculation to give you the route with least possible altitude change. Either way it seems like a good idea.

My BMW has an "avoid tolls" option. I'll bet that's what it is.

There is a separate set of "avoid" options (Highway, Tolls, and Ferries) so I don't think that is the focus of the economical route. I think it has more to do with how much power is needed to cover a certain route.
