No longer a virgin (had my first CEL)

After 6 months and 3000 miles, I finally had my first CEL last Saturday. The odd thing though, is that it came on exactly when my car turned over to 3000 miles. I also happened to be putting gas in at that same point, so it "could" be coincidence, but I don't think so. Especially since a few owners have had other issues at the 3000 milestone. I'm going to wait a while to see if it goes off all by its little self, but I have a feeling it's there until I take her to Denver.

Also, I used to be able to grab the URL on flickr.com, but now it will not allow me to, so click on this link and check out the photos of Karma at the top of Independence Pass (just outside of Aspen) last Saturday. I hope it works and you can scroll through the 4 shots (if you see kids playing soccer, click the other direction). The colors came out really well and she purred perfectly at 12,000 feet. Either way, I think I'm done with Flickr...

You still can, it's just a little tricky.

(1) Click on photo in photostream to get it on the page
(2) Click on "Share"
(3) Click on "Grab the HTML/BBCode" if needed (I think this is sticky from whatever you last did)
(4) Click radio button for HTML if needed, and select size
(5) Snip out just the actual photo URL

Step 5 is probably the hardest, it's easiest to cut and paste the whole thing (with the angle bracket a href=...) and then remove the unwanted parts. This should leave you with just "http://farm<n>.staticflickr.com/..." URL.

For example, here's my new garage as of one week ago (it looks about the same today except there are more dangling wires :-) ):

nice pics. I had my first CEL last week after 5500 kms. which is over 3500 miles.
It was a sort of on purpose. As I never had the CEL I tried various things to evoke it. Opening the doors and boot while charging. Plugging it in before letting it go to sleep (but with the fans off). Nothing gave me a CEL.
I finally managed to get the CEL when I plugged the car in while the cooling fan was running.
I'll do a hard reboot one of these days to see if it goes off. I have a meeting for 6.28 update next week so if the reboot does not help the update will solve the CEL.

I have never had a CEL warning (knock wood) and have > 4000 miles on my Karma....Will be heading out to Boulder and Aspen next week...How is the weather?
