If your battery range is 26 miles (50% SOC) or more when you switch to Sport mode you are using power from both the battery and the engine-genertor for maximum power and the battery power is not preserved. If you are at 25 miles of range or less, all the power comes from the generator which preserves the battery SOC for when you switch back to stealth mode.

Fab,
If your electric is over 26 miles and the ICE is running (Sport), does your ICE MPG increase accordingly? Or is nothing gained by losing electric miles down to 26 to help out the ICE?

Just finished a 2500 mi trip, all with gas, ave 23 mpg. High altitude, mountains, very hot,ran very well.
Glad to be home. One minor glitch......lost digital speedo then it just reappeared.
Blew the minds of everyone who saw it!

I have not observed the impact on MPG so I don't know and I don't know what the exact algorithm is for dividing up the load in Sport mode. Someone with deeper Fisker knowledge needs to answer this (great) question.

When I drive from my house to the Vail Village parking structure using battery only, I use 18 miles of battery for a 15 mile trip (it's about a 500 foot elevation gain). I experimented using ICE the entire way, and only used 12 miles of battery. Both trips began with a full 50 mile range battery.
