Repaired a few of these. Porous or cracked traction motor. Keep an eye on your low temp coolant (reservoir on passenger fender). That coolant gets low, the inverters overheat. Car doesnt drive but 50 feet and shuts down.
It gets very tricky if the low temp coolant for inverters gets too low. System needs to be bled through a complicated process as the coolant runs to the back of car and inverters are mounted high up in trunk making them air traps. They have to be bled in a certain order by us running the electric pumps via scan tool and forcing air out.
