Default Problem with the Windshield washer system

I'm experiencing a new kind of problem.
This morning, the warning light about the windshield water came up. This is completely new to me, so it must for you.
How do you handle it?
For years now, this has been handled at the filling station by the attendant.
As I haven't seen him for weeks, I don't think, that he well do the service, without selling gas...

I love my Karma !!!!!!

-Stefan

Under the hood/bonnet right in front of the windscreen/windshield on the driver's side is a white cap with the same picture as you see on your dash. Fill washer fluid there.

Didn't you get an instruction manual from your dealer, Stefan?

By the way, I think it would be better if on the forum we do not use words like 'problem' if we refer to things which we would consider normal in other cars, like an empty washer fluid reservoir. A lot of people who are interested in buying a Karma visit this site and some do not read more than the word 'problem' in the title.

There may be a problem with this system actually.

I have had to fill my windshield washer 3 times in 1800 miles and I have only used it 3 times. I suspect a leak. Not a big problem and I will have dealer look at it with getting the 6.2 upgrade....

I think Stefan's "problem" is he doesn't have to visit his filling station attendant any longer.

This is a good problem to have!

It's a pretty small tank. I started getting the low level warning after I had used it just a few times. The dealer just topped it off when I was there for something else.

Be sure you are actually getting it full. I have a thread that discusses that the vent tube can get kinked causing the fller port to back up causing one to think it is full. I believe it should hold about 2 liters or a half gallon roughly. My dealer fixed the issue with some fixed joints placed into the vent line.[hr]

The vent tube could be a issue but I really haven't seen any that are pinched . The tank is kinda small but with very limited space for one that can hold a couple of gallons like other cars . What I find is the easiest way to fill it is just have to take your time pouring the fluid in slowly works the best for me . Anytime a car comes into service no matter what's wrong with the car I always top up the fluids and check the air .

I recently found out that after every 5th use of the window washer, also the headlight washer is activated.
This uses extra water. I never knew the Karma had a headlight wash system until I tried to find out where the water was coming from that was dripping over the hood....I asked my wife to push the window wash system while I was looking for leaks LOL
I could have read the manual properly of course but skipped the window wash section. I have had a car before so I thought I knew how that worked..... :-D

I have used my windshield washer system 1 time in 4 months but have had to fill it 3 times. There does appear to be some type of leak, but I am not sure where? At the time I get the update, I will ask for it to be serviced to see if the "issue" can be found. I have gone through a gallon of fluid.
