Default Best OBD2 Scanner to use for Fisker

I am looking at buying an OBD2 scanner for my Fisker. I was looking at different ones made by Innova. There is a wide price range for these scanners. I don't want to go too cheap then have to buy another one when I realize there is some feature that it doesn't have. The problem is I have never used one, so I don't know which features I need and which ones I don't need. Any recommendations from Fisker owners that have used a scanner? Innova doesn't list Fisker as one of their supported vehicles.

This is the one Fisker themselves use for basic diagnosis; also the one I keep permanently in all my Karma's.

I don't know about "best", but this is the one I have found to be the most convenient and easy to use. It plugs into, and is powered by, the OBD II port on the Karma and connects to my Iphone 5s via Bluetooth. I can use it to download codes and turn off the MIL. I can also use it real time to monitor a fair amount of data using its basic app. Since there are no cables to mess with, I just leave it plugged in all the time.

Click on the photo below for more information from the manufacturer.

Fab, Do you recommend the BT1A upgrade over the BT1? I use an iPhone 5s and do not need the Android "action". Does the upgrade benefit the 5s? Also, their suction cup attachment for cell phones looks practical. Txs.

@fiskerjim, I am not familiar with the difference between the two. When I bought mine, the BT1 was cheaper than the BT1A and that's the one I went with. I suspect that the OBD II Scanning functions are the same.

Hello, I am thinking to buy Autel obd2 scanner. Any Idea about this Autel? It will be great if anyone share his/her Autel scanner using experience.
