Default Need help. Vibration/rattling passenger dash area

Can't seem to find what it is. Only happens when engine is on. Looked under the car and doesn't seem to be the exhaust. Any suggestions?

Sounds like it is in the glove box.

Did you have any work done recently? I had a similar rattle to this (very annoying) and it turned out to be the cross-member under the hood had not been tightened down properly after having had some work done.

Nothing done recently. Cross member seems to be tight (hand tight).

Check the muffler heat shields. They tend to loosen and rattle. I found the bolts loose on one of mine. Make sure the system is cool.

Remove all the heat shields you can they aren't needed and only cause problems . That was an official Fisker fox by the way. If you have a big rubber hammer hit the center muffler they fall apart internally and are most of the rattles in the car . Also the left and ride side supports for the inner wheel wells tend to bend and end up touching the side mufflers .

If it indeed sounds like the glove box and it goes away when you press on the glove box then you need to insulate the plastic dash cross section that runs under the glove box in front of the knee airbag there are no screws in that 20 inch section of plastic and it buzzes against the steel crash bar. Usually need to pull the glovehicle box to get it insulated w foam tape. Have fixed a dozen or more of them. But based on the fact that you say engine on only. Check heat shields also the one by the turbo and catalytic converter back side. Also one above center muffler aND outer muffler (that one can get cut out and pulled, no purpose) Lastly if it is a really loud buzzing from outside check the lower cat converter bracket, they commonly break or crack. It it near impossible to see the crack. Usually requires a mirror to see the crack. I won't even explain how to replace it, my fingers are tired enough...
